Although a majority of our work is representing consumers in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy, Mr. Honig practices in several other areas of law as well. Most notably, Mr. Honig represents families in real estate transactions and estate planning.
REAL ESTATE
Mr. Honig represents purchasers and sellers of real estate throughout the Chicagoland area. He has represented individuals not only in purchases and sales of single family residences, but also with condominiums and co-ops. Because of his experience in representing clients in bankruptcies, Mr. Honig has substantial experience handling short sales and other difficult transactions. Every time that Mr. Honig represents clients in real estate transactions, he brings the same personal touch as he does with Chapter 7 ad Chapter 13 bankruptcies.
ESTATE PLANNING
Mr. Honig has substantial experience handling wills, trusts, and powers of attorney. Having an LL.M in taxation, Mr. Honig is well versed in the estate tax implications that affect estates and is comfortable working with families to ensure that their estates are protected and properly arranged.
